Because of high strength and good toughness, steel coil is widely used in automobile, bridge, ship and other manufacturing fields.But because of its large weight, easy to roll, in the packing must pay attention to eliminate its rolling characteristics, so as to achieve effective and reasonable loading.Suggestions for packing steel coils into cabinets are as follows:
1.Basic request:
a.The gross weight should be under the payload of cntr.
b.Weight over 10 tons / per coil, will not suggest to load in 20DC.
C.The coil should in the center of cntr & meets the load distribution.
One or two coil: the coil should on the vertical line of cntr, & the weight should share on the bottom averagely. (coils with similar weight).
More than 2 coils: the weight share on the bottom averagely.
d. Coils can't touch the bottom directly, pls use Pallets / Cradles or Bedding beams.
e. Pls use blocking/bracing around the coil to avoid movement.
f. If the weight of coil is over 10 tons/per, pls use lashing to secure it.
2. Lashing / securing:
a. To viewing the securing method, no matter what kind of method, coils shouldn't touch the bottom directly, pls use Pallets / Cradles or Bedding beams.
b. To consider the forcing during transportation by ship or truck, pls use blocking/bracing & lashing to secure coil. (pls refer below photo.)
